Chocolate Sourdough Crumpets
Think Red Velvet Cake, but in crumpet form (and without the food colouring). It's super dense, delicious, inherently plant-based, and what we want for breakfast today topped with this scrumptious Prana Chai syrup!

- 230g of sourdough discard (gluten-free sourdough is possible)
- 1 tsp of coconut sugar
- 2 pinches salt
- 1/2 tsp bi-carb soda
- 2-3 tsp of Loving Earth Dark Drinking Chocolate
Combine all ingredients together in a medium-size bowl. Heat a frying pan and grease well with coconut oil. Using metal or silicone rings, pour two-tablespoons of the crumpet batter onto the hot frying pan. Cook on a low to medium heat for 4 minutes until bubbles begin to form. Remove the ring and flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Continue with the rest of the batter. Top with your favourite spread and eat!
