Welcome to the team Prana James! You are the newest member to the team and we are all so excited to have you on board! Tell us a little bit about your background!
I've been working in hospo since I was about 19. I opened my first cafe back home in Melbourne when I was about 21 which was called Milkboy, where I gained the knowledge and experience of running a business. 2 years ago I bought my second business which I called Milkboy on Fordhams which happens to be one of Melbourne's oldest milk bars, transformed into a cafe. As of late 2019 I decided to step back from my second venture, and join the Prana team, where I have been given the opportunity to live abroad and sling chai on the streets of London.
You've moved to London recently, how do you find it so far?
Living in London at the minute is unreal! London itself is massive, and there is so much to explore whether its foodie markets, bars, pubs, coffee shops the list goes on. The weather is cold and quite miserable as you would assume but i've always enjoyed the cold.
What wakes you up in the morning?
My alarm clock usually.
Any exciting projects or things in 2020 that are not related to Prana Chai?
I have my business partner back home running my second venture Milkboy on Fordhams. I built the foundations of the business before I left. There is still a lot of work that needs to be done to grow the business this year, so it will be interesting to see what 2020 holds.
What's your superpower? Give us an example of when you used your superpower!
I become Jason Bourne whenever i drink white russians, no idea why, it just happens.
What's your favourite way to enjoy #OnlyTheGoodStuff (Prana Chai)?
For me a chai always goes down so well on a cold winter's day.
What are the 3 questions that you wish people ask more of?
1. What movie title best describes your life?
2. What is the strangest thing you have come across? (always a good story starter)
3. Fancy a pint?
