International Women's Day - Women of Prana

March 8th marks International Women's Day, a momentous occasion to honour the extraordinary social, economic, cultural, and political accomplishments of women globally. To commemorate this important day, we're putting the spotlight on the fierce and fabulous females of Prana by introducing them and asking them a couple of questions. Let's take a moment to applaud these trailblazing women and their incredible contributions - they truly embody the spirit of International Women's Day!

If you could switch roles switch any woman for a day, who would it be and why?

If I was another woman for a day I would choose Amelia Earhart. She was an adventurer and a pilot and the first female aviator to fly across the Atlantic Ocean alone.

If I had to choose someone in current days, that would be Jacinda Ardern. She is a strong woman, kind and open minded. She has always been a passionate advocate for Maori and women's rights and she has shown that you can be a great leader showing compassion and strength at the same time.

Amelia O'Dwyer - Marketing Coordinator & WA Account Manager

I'd like to switch roles with someone famous who can sing and perform. To experience that kind of fame would be cool to experience for a day but not forever in my opinion. I also can't sing so it would be amazing to be able to for a day 😉

What's the funniest stereotype about women you've ever heard?

Mother Teresa - one of her quotes "If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one!"
She mixed with all sorts of people of different backgrounds, different belief systems and just sat with them and made people feel special.
What's the funniest stereotype about women you've ever heard? 
If a woman is strong and direct, she’s a b***h or, if a woman listens and cooperates, she’s weak.

Kylie Minogue for sure - I would love to see what her life is like. She's been able to carve out a career in a very tough industry, worked with some amazing artists, fought breast cancer and overall she seems like a pretty nice person.

There are so many great females who are not afraid to share their ideas, and thoughts, speaking and acting their heart and mind. Hard to decide! I would go for Maya Angelou to work against racism and peace and Jane Goodall for nonhuman rights, sustainability and peace.
What's the funniest stereotype about women you've ever heard? 

“Women are natural nurturers; men are natural leaders” is the funniest.

If you could switch roles switch any woman for a day, who would it be and why?
Couldn't think of any woman to switch roles. But, I would love to see men switch roles with their mothers, wives, lovers, sisters etc. at least one day in their lives to be able to experience what it means to be a woman.
What's the funniest stereotype about women you've ever heard? 
The funniest stereotype is definitely the belief that women can't drive. Hoohhohohhhooo ask Koray 😉 He knows who drives better.
